When I Am Afraid

‘The Lord is with me. I will not be afraid’ (Psalm 118:6)

Most of us probably afraid of something. What is it? Are you afraid of the dark? Being home alone? Thunderstorms? Wild animals?

Sometimes fear can be a good thing it can make you more careful when you cross the street, when you use a knife in the kitchen or when you ride your bike down a steep hill.

But when fear keeps you from doing the good things that God wants you to do….that’s not good. When you are afraid, try to remember these words from the bible.
‘Do not be afraid… for I am with you (Act 18:9-10)'.

God made that promise to his people many times over thousands of years. And he keeps that promise even today.

So next time you’re afraid, remember God’s promise: ‘Do not be afraid.. for I am with you.’
